Recap: Seattle vs. New Mexico St

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Tyrone Watson scored 26 points and Bandja Sy came a rebound shy of a double-double as the New Mexico State Aggies outlasted the Seattle Redhawks, 83-82, in double-overtime in a Western Athletic Conference battle at KeyArena.

Sy scored 23 points and Daniel Mullings added 19 for New Mexico State (9-8, 3-2 WAC) which has won three straight.

The Redhawks had a 67-64 lead with 31 seconds remaining after Pickett Jr. hit a pair of free throws. However Sy nailed a 3-pointer with seven seconds remaining to send the game to overtime

Trailing by three with 20 seconds remaining in the first overtime, Seattle got a 3-pointer from Pickett Jr. to knot the game up and when an Obasi shot was off the mark in the final seconds the game went into a second overtime.

A 6-2 spurt form New Mexico State to open the second extra session put the Aggies ahead for good as they held on for the victory.

The game featured 15 ties and 14 lead changes. The two teams combined for 45 turnovers.
