Recap: Seattle vs. Northern Ill

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Prince Obasi finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and six assists as the Seattle Redhawks completed a 75-48 rout of the Northern Illinois Huskies in non-conference action at KeyArena.

Chad Rasmussen scored a game-high 14 points for Seattle (4-5) as it snapped its two-game losing streak. Deshaun Sunderhaus chipped in 10 points and D'Vonne Pickett Jr got into the mix with nine points, six assists, and five boards.

Antoine Christian scored 11 points in 10 minutes off the bench to lead NIU (2-8), which has now lost three in a row. None of the other Huskies managed to score in double-figures as their starting five went a combined 7-of-25 from the field.

Seattle managed to build a double-digit advantage on the scoreboard less than eight minutes after tip-off and Rasmussen drained a three-pointer in the closing seconds of the first half to send the hosts into the intermission with a 47-27 lead. The Redhawks outscored the visitors, 20-4, in the paint in the opening 20 minutes to take control.

NIU was unable to cut into the deficit after the break as it was held to 32 percent shooting from the floor including a 1-of-8 mark on three-point attempts in the second half.

The Redhawks held a 44-30 edge in the rebounding battle and scored assisted 17 of their 26 made field goals.
