Recap: Seattle vs. TX-San Antonio

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Michael Hale III poured in a career-best 35 points as the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners snapped their seven-game losing slide with a 78-75 victory over the Seattle Redhawks in a Western Athletic Conference tilt at Key Arena.

Hale III went 9-of-18 from the field and sank 16-of-17 at the charity stripe to help the Roadrunners (5-13, 1-7 WAC) earn their first conference victory. Kannon Burrage chimed in with 19 points, while Hyjii Thomas tallied 12 points.

Deshaun Sunderhaus scored 16 points to pace Seattle (6-12, 1-7) as it lost its second in a row and seventh in eight games. D'Vonne Pickett Jr contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals, while Jarell Flora provided a spark off the bench with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point land.

The Redhawks outscored the visitors, 20-14, in the opening 20 minutes, but they still went into the intermission trailing, 38-31, after shooting just 38.2 percent from the field. UTSA knocked down 46.9 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half.

Seattle's bench produced 15 points after the break and the team used a 26-6 advantage in points in the paint to attack the deficit. The Redhawks tied the score and narrowed the margin on the scoreboard to a single point on multiple occasions, but the Roadrunners maintained their lead throughout the half by converting 18-of-26 at the free throw line.

UTSA converted the hosts' 20 turnovers into 26 points and outscored them, 24-15, from beyond the arc.
