Recap: Indiana State vs. Missouri State

Terre Haute, IN (Sports Network) - Four different players scored in double figures for Indiana State as the Sycamores got past the Missouri State Bears, 68-60, in a Missouri Valley Conference battle at the Hulman Center.

Manny Arop, Justin Gant, Devonte Brown and Dawon Cummings all scored 10 points for Indiana State (11-6, 4-2 MVC) which had lost two of three entering play.

Gavin Thurman had a game-high 18 points and Anthony Downing added 12 for Missouri State (5-13, 3-3) which has lost three straight.

Both teams shot well in the first half with Missouri State hitting 56 percent of its shots to take a 31-27 lead at the break while Indiana State connected on 52.4 percent of its field goal attempts.

In the second half the Sycamores heated up to 61.9 percent shooting while the Bears cooled to 41.7 percent as their halftime advantage disappeared.

Indiana State outscored Missouri State 16-7 from the free-throw line and 32-24 on points in the paint.
