Recap: Texas-Arlington vs. Utah State

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Kevin Butler scored 21 points as the Texas- Arlington Roadrunners took down the Utah State Aggies, 61-46, in a Western Athletic Conference bout at the College Park Center.

Karol Gruszecki added 14 points for Texas-Arlington (17-10, 11-5 WAC) which has won seven of its last eight games.

Marcel Davis put in 15 points, TeNale Roland added 12 and Jarred Shaw tacked on 11 points and eight rebounds for Utah State (19-9, 9-7) which has lost three of four.

Both teams shot poorly in the first half. The Roadrunners made good on 37.9 percent from the field while the Aggies were at just 29.6 percent. Texas-Arlington led 28-22 at the break.

After halftime the Roadrunners improved to 44 percent shooting while rattling in six shots from 3-point range to coast to the victory.

Texas-Arlington outscored Utah State, 33-18, from 3-point range while registering eight more field goals overall.
