Venky Jois (17 points, nine rebounds) and Martin Seiferth (16 points, nine rebounds, three blocks) were both strong in the trenches, while Jeffrey Forbes added 17 points before fouling out. The Eagles had won their previous two bouts heading into tonight's action.

The Vikings played outstanding on both ends of the floor in the first half, outshooting the Eagles from the field, 65.5 percent to 36.1 percent, as they took a 43-31 lead into intermission.

EWU made a push early in the second half, using a 16-0 run to take a 53-50 advantage with 12:33 to play, but PSU managed to retake the lead a few minutes later on a Winston 3-pointer and it never again trailed. The Vikings iced the game in the final 1:29 by shooting 11-of-13 from the foul line.
