Cheney, WA (Sports Network) - Derrick Barden posted a double-double to lead the Northern Colorado Bears to an 88-80 overtime victory over the Eastern Washington Eagles in Big Sky action at Reese Court.

Barden finished with a game-high 28 points and 10 rebounds, Tate Unruh added 21 points and Tevin Svihovec put in 16 points for Northern Colorado (10-17, 8-10 Big Sky) which ended a two-game skid.

For Eastern Washington (9-19, 6-11) Tyler Harvey scored 22 points, Venky Jois tacked on 14, Collin Chiverton had 11 off the bench and Parker Kelly registered 10. Martin Seiferth also posted a double-double in the Eagles' fourth win in the last five games with 11 points and a career-high 21 rebounds.

Northern Colorado clung to a 37-36 lead at halftime after connecting on 15-of-31 shots from the floor. The Eagles also recorded 15 field goals in the first 20 minutes but also had 10 turnovers.

After the break the Bears shot at just a 37.1 percent clip but had 10 more attempts from the field thanks to another 10 turnovers from Eastern Washington. The Bears actually trailed, 72-69 with just under a minute to play but Unruh nailed a 3-pointer and with neither team scoring the rest of the way, overtime was needed.
