Recap: Montana vs. Montana State

Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Kareem Jamar registered a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists as the Montana Grizzlies kept their perfect Big Sky Conference record intact with a 76-71 overtime victory over the Montana State Bobcats at Dahlberg Arena.

Jamar also grabbed seven rebounds in 45 minutes of action for Montana (12-4, 8-0 Big Sky) as it collected its eighth consecutive win. Will Cherry chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Gregory netted 11 points, while Spencer Coleman provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and four steals.

Christian Moon led the Bobcats (6-9, 3-4) with 14 points and four assists. Flavien Davis got into the mix with 12 points and eight boards, but the Bobcats were unable to avoid their second-straight setback.

Montana State led by as many as nine in the opening period before it took a narrow, 32-31 advantage into the intermission. The Bobcats shot an even 50 percent from the floor in the first half, but Montana stayed close by knocking down 6-of-11 tries from beyond the arc.

The visitors were in front for the majority of the second stanza as well. Montana was in serious danger of experience its first conference loss of the year as it trailed, 66-63, with only seconds left to play. Mike Weisner knocked down a game-tying triple with only three seconds left to force an extra session.

Weisner made a layup to open up scoring in the overtime period and Montana maintained its edge until the final buzzer by converted 6-of-8 at the charity stripe.

Montana used a 37-31 advantage on the glass to power its thrilling win.
