Recap: Montana vs. Northern Ariz

Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Will Cherry returned to the lineup to score 14 points to lead the Montana Grizzlies to their second-straight Big Sky Conference regular season title with a 63-50 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at Dahlberg Arena.

Cherry had missed the last three games due to injury for Montana (23-6, 19-1 Big Sky) which also got 12 points from Spencer Coleman and 11 from Mike Weisner.

Max Jacobsen scored 17 points and Gabe Rogers chipped in 12 for Northern Arizona (11-20, 8-12) which secured the seventh seed in the upcoming conference tournament despite the loss.

The Lumberjacks led by as many as 11 points in the first half and had a 32-24 edge at the break.

After halftime the Grizzlies woke up and shot 54.5 percent from the field while limiting NAU to just six field goals on 25 percent shooting to come from behind for the win.

The game featured seven ties and 10 lead changes.
