Recap: Delaware vs. Penn

Newark, DE (Sports Network) - Jamelle Hagins posted a double-double as the Delaware Blue Hens routed the Penn Quakers, 83-60, in a non-conference bout at the Bob Carpenter Center.

Hagins scored 18 points and collected 13 rebounds for Delaware (4-8). Jarvis Threatt added 18 points of his own and Devon Saddler and Terrell Rogers scored 12 points a piece.

Greg Louis had a double-double of his own with 19 points and 11 rebounds for Penn (2-8). Fran Dougherty scored 18 points and was a rebound shy of a double- double.

Delaware led 32-26 at halftime despite hitting just 15-of-45 shot attempts including an 0-of-13 showing from beyond the arc. Penn hit on just 10-of-29 field goal attempts in the first 20 minutes.

The Blue Hens improved to 47.2 percent shooting and nailed 6-of-11 3-point attempts in the second half to pull away for the 23-point victory.

Delaware had a 51-35 edge on the boards and outscored the Quakers 33-9 on second chance points.
