Recap: George Mason vs. Georgia State

Fairfax, VA (Sports Network) - R.J. Hunter scored 25 points to lead the Georgia State Panthers to a 78-60 victory over the George Mason Patriots in a Colonial Athletic Association tilt at the Patriot Center.

For the Panthers (14-14, 9-6 CAA), Devonta White added 23 points and Manny Atkins posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Sherrod Wright led the Patriots (15-11, 8-6) with 19 points and Marco Gujanicic chipped in with 10 points.

Both teams shot greater than 50 percent from the field in the first half. GSU was the hotter of the two teams, connecting on 62.1 percent from the field, including 7-of-11 from beyond the 3-point arc, as it took a 51-36 lead at halftime.

The Panthers pushed their lead to as many as 27 in the second half, as they cruised to victory and snapped a five-game losing streak to the Patriots.

GSU had a 21-9 advantage on second chance points and a 34-27 edge on the boards.
