Recap: Northern Colorado vs. Wyoming

Greeley, CO (Sports Network) - Derrious Gilmore scored 24 points in powering the Wyoming Cowboys to a 69-60 victory over the Northern Colorado Bears at Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion.

Gilmore sank 13-of-14 free throws for Wyoming (5-0) while Leonard Washington had a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Paul Garnica scored 13 points off the bench to lead Northern Colorado (1-2) while Tate Unruh put in 12.

Northern Colorado was the superior team in the first half by shooting 42.3 percent from the floor to earn a 26-23 halftime lead. On the other side Wyoming shot just 35.7 percent.

The Cowboys heated up and shot 50.0 from the floor over the final 20 minutes to earn the win.

Wyoming forced 20 turnovers in the game which it converted into 20 points.
