Recap: Georgia State vs. William & Mary

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Manny Atkins scored 21 points for the Georgia State Panthers who earned a 74-58, Colonial Athletic Association victory over the William & Mary Tribe at GSU Sports Arena.

Atkins was 6-of-11 from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line for the Panthers (7-11, 2-3 CAA), who ended their brief two-game losing streak. Rashaad Richardson added 12 points while Devonta White managed 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Markus Crider (six points, eight rebounds) and R.J. Hunter (six points, seven rebounds) were the teams top rebounders.

Tim Rusthoven recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds but saw his impressive performance spoiled as William & Mary (7-9, 1-4) lost its sixth consecutive game. Marcus Thornton was the only other Tribe player to score in double-figures with 13 points.

William & Mary led 33-28 at halftime after holding Georgia State to just 33.3 percent shooting from the field in the first half.

The Panthers outscored the Tribe 46-25 in the second half, shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and holding W&M to 31.0 percent from the field.

Georgia State's bench contributed 20 points while W&M's bench managed 11. The Panthers also earned a 34-28 edge on the boards.
