Recap: Miami-Ohio vs. James Madison

Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 21 points from freshman Reggie Johnson, the Miami-Ohio RedHawks cruised to a 76-58 win over the James Madison Dukes in non-league play from Millett Hall.

Johnson was lethal from long range, knocking down 5-of-7 three-pointers for the game. Quinten Rollins notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists for the RedHawks (3-2), who never trailed in the contest. Jon Harris chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Will Felder scored 12 and pulled down seven boards.

Devon Moore paced the Dukes (1-4) with 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor. Rayshawn Goins finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Ron Curry scored 10 in the loss.

Miami opened the game with a three-point play followed by back-to-back 3- pointers for a quick 9-0 lead. The RedHawks went on to shoot 5-of-12 from the perimeter in the opening frame en route to a 37-26 halftime lead.

The RedHawks shot 50 percent from the floor in the second stanza while holding JMU to 9-of-27 shooting to seal the win. The Dukes trailed by double digits throughout the game's final 24 minutes.

Miami had 19 assists on 25 field goals for the game while shooting a solid 9- of-23 (.391) from beyond the arc.
