Recap: James Madison vs. Drexel

Harrisonburg, VA (Sports Network) - Devon Moore and Rayshawn Goins both scored 14 points to help guide the James Madison Dukes to a 51-43 win over the Drexel Dragons in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup at the Convocation Center.

Moore added five rebounds and five assists and Goins cleared six boards of his own for the Dukes (9-8, 3-1 CAA) as they won their second straight. Coming up a point shy of a double-double was Taylor Bessick who collected a game-high 13 rebounds on the day.

The Dragons (5-11, 1-3) were paced by Frantz Massenat who tallied 13 points, but shot just 4-of-15 from the floor as the visitors suffered a third consecutive setback.

Drexel led for a moment early in the first half, but the team ended up shooting only 7-of-22 from the floor in the period which left it with a 27-19 deficit at the break.

The Dukes went from converting an acceptable 40.7 percent from the field through the first 20 minutes of action to only 31.6 percent in the second half, but still the hosts held on for the eight-point win.

The difference in the meeting came at the charity stripe where JMU outscored the Dragons, 13-5.
