Recap: Weber State vs. Southern Utah

Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - Davion Berry tallied 21 points, six rebounds, and five assists to help lead the Weber State Wildcats to a 75-58 triumph over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds in Big Sky Conference bout at the Dee Events Center.

Scott Bamforth and Jordan Richardson each scored 15 points for Weber State (16-5, 11-2 Big Sky), which has won three straight. The Wildcats shot 53.2 percent from the field on the night, including 11-of-20 from 3-point range.

For SUU (10-13, 8-6), Jackson Stevenett poured in 24 points while missing just one of his 15 free-throw attempts. Damon Heuir chipped in 18 points and six boards for the Thunderbirds, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Weber State shot nearly 61 percent from the floor in the first half and took a 39-31 lead into intermission. SUU made only 32.3 percent of its field goal attempts but kept its deficit to single-digits thanks to a 10-of-13 showing from the foul line.

The Wildcats' advantage was never in doubt after halftime, as they led by as many as 24 points.

Weber State won the rebounding battle, 39-33.
