Recap: Coll of Charleston vs. Old Dominion

Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Adjehi Baru scored 20 points as he led the College of Charleston Cougars to a 76-65 win over the Old Dominion Monarchs at TD Arena.

Baru was a perfect 8-of-8 from the field and had a team-high nine rebounds for the Cougars (6-4), who broke a two-game losing streak. Andrew Lawrence tallied 17 points, six assists, and five steals while Anthony Thomas scored 13 points to go with three blocks.

DeShawn Painter scored 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field while also leading his squad with seven rebounds as Old Dominion (1-10) lost its ninth consecutive game. Donte Hill added 11 points and five assists while Keenan Palmore and Deion Clark contributed 10 points each.

The teams were even at halftime with the score 28-28 after Lawrence made both free-throws for the Cougars with no time left.

In the second half, the College of Charleston shot 61.5 percent from the field and pulled away for the victory, outscoring Old Dominion 48-37 in the half.

The Cougars had a hefty 24-9 edge in points from beyond the arc.
