Recap: Ohio vs. UNC-Wilmington

Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Led by 20 points from Ivo Baltic, the Ohio University Bobcats downed the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, 85-47, at the Convocation Center in non-conference action.

For the Bobcats (2-0), Reggie Kelly added 14 points, Walter Offutt finished with 11 points, Nick Kellogg chipped in 10 points and D.J. Cooper registered 14 assists and four steals.

Keith Rendleman led the Seahawks (1-2) with 17 points and seven rebounds. Rendleman made 6-of-7 field goal attempts while the rest of UNCW shot a combined 11-of-32 from the floor.

Ohio shot well to start the game, connecting on 48.1 percent of its field goals attempts to help it take a commanding 37-17 lead into the break. UNC Wilmington shot 42.1 percent from the floor, but managed to convert just 1-of-7 attempts from three-point range.

After halftime, UNC Wilmington shot somewhat better, making 42 percent of its field goals. Ohio really heated up in the second stanza however, draining 65.6 percent of its shots from the floor, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, on the way to the easy victory.

The Bobcats converted 26 Seahawk turnovers into 31 points. Ohio dominated in the paint as well, outscoring UNC Wilmington 42-26.
