UNCW came out of the gate hot to hit on 62.5 percent of its field goal attempts which helped it take a 39-34 lead into halftime. The Tribe kept it close by shooting an even 50 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes.

The Seahawks cooled off to shoot 46.4 percent from the field in the second stanza while William & Mary made 53.8 percent of its field goal tries including 6-of-8 from 3-point range. Dixon then fouled Rusthoven, who came up in the clutch at the free-throw line.

Although both sides were guilty of 14 miscues, the Tribe held a 20-13 edge in points off of turnovers.
