Recap: Davidson vs. UNC-Wilmington

Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - Behind a season-high 21 points from Jake Cohen, the Davidson Wildcats cruised to a 77-61 victory over the UNC- Wilmington Seahawks in a non-conference bout at Belk Arena.

Cohen shot 3-of-6 from three-point range and 8-of-8 from the free throw line for Davidson (6-4), which has won three of its last four. De'Mon Brooks tallied a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, Chris Czerapowicz scored 14 points, and Clint Mann came off the bench to net 13 points.

For UNCW (4-6), Keith Rendleman logged 20 points and nine boards, while Tanner Milson added 10 points.

Davidson shot 44.4 percent from the field in the first half, which included a 4-of-9 showing from beyond the arc, to get out to a 35-23 lead at intermission. UNCW was held without a three-pointer in the opening 20 minutes.

The Wildcats' field goal percentage improved to 53.8 percent in the second half as they led by as many as 19 points.

Davidson had a solid showing from the foul line (16-of-20), while UNCW shot just 4-of-10 from the charity stripe.
