Recap: Cleveland State vs. Ill-Chicago

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Bryn Forbes scored 14 points to lead the Cleveland State Vikings to a 60-50 victory over the Illinois-Chicago Flames in a Horizon League battle at the Wolstein Center.

Tim Kamczyc added 13 points and Sebastian Douglas chipped in 10 for Cleveland State (9-7, 1-1 Horizon) which had lost three of its previous four games.

Gary Talton and Josh Crittle each finished with 10 points to lead Illinois- Chicago (10-5, 1-1) which has lost four of its last five.

Cleveland State led 28-21 at the half by shooting 44.0 percent from the field while limiting Illinois-Chicago to just seven field goals in the first 20 minutes.

The Flames continued to struggle in the second half, connecting on just 26.9 percent of their field goal attempts. The Vikings shot at a 40.0 percent clip in the second frame to earn the win.

Cleveland State converted 18 Illinois-Chicago turnovers into 19 points.
