Recap: Detroit vs. Ill-Chicago

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Ray McCallum tallied 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists as the Detroit Titans dismantled the Illinois-Chicago Flames, 98-47, in a Horizon League matchup at Calihan Hall.

McCallum shot 10-of-12 from the field for Detroit (12-7, 4-2 Horizon), which had lost its previous two games. Jason Calliste shot 3-of-4 from 3-point range en route to 20 points, while Nick Minnerath and Doug Anderson chipped in 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Gary Talton scored 11 points for UIC (11-8, 2-4) as it lost for the seventh time in its last nine outings.

Detroit's dominance started early, as it shot 60.6 percent from the field in the first half while holding UIC to just 25 percent, as it went into the break with a commanding 53-14 lead.

The Titans' field goal efficiency slowed to 48.3 percent after intermission but the game was never in doubt.

UIC finished the game 32.1 percent from the field and had more turnovers (21) than field goals (17).
