Recap: Milwaukee vs. Valparaiso

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Ryan Broekhoff registered a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Valparaiso Crusaders delivered a 76-52 win over the Milwaukee Panthers in Horizon League action at the Klotsche Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Crusaders (13-5, 3-1 HL) were Kevin Van Wijk with 12 points before fouling out, Matt Kenney 11 and LaVonte Dority with 10 points off the bench as the team won for the third time in as many games.

The Panthers (4-13, 0-3 ), losers of three straight, were paced by Paris Gulley with 18 points, while Demetrius Harris tallied 14 and Jordan Aaron 10 in the setback.

Valpo scored the first points of the day and never looked back, moving out to a 33-20 advantage at the break as the defense held the hosts to only 29.2 percent shooting from the floor in the period.

In the second half the lead reached as high as 26 points for the Crusaders as they shot a blistering 61.5 percent from the field, en route to the comfortable win.

Milwaukee, which watched the visitors shoot only 6-of-11 at the free-throw line, were guilty of just 2-of-12 out on the perimeter.
