Recap: Eastern Ill vs. Wright State

Charleston, IL (Sports Network) - J.T. Yoho scored a game-high 14 points to help lead the Wright State Raiders to a 56-44 victory over the Eastern Illinois Panthers at Lantz Arena.

Yoho, who came off the bench, shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and grabbed eight boards. Kendall Griffin (11 points) and Reggie Arceneaux (10 points) each added double digits for the Raiders (2-0).

Alex Austin led Eastern Illinois (0-2) with 11 points, and he was followed closely by Sherman Blanford with 10 points.

Wright State jumped out to a 32-17 lead at the half. The Panthers shot only 26.1 percent from the floor in the opening frame, including 1-of-11 from three-point range.

The Panthers improved after halftime, draining 10-of-19 from the field, but it was not enough to overcome the first half deficit.

The Raiders outrebounded the Panthers, 37-24. Wright State shot 14-of-21 from the free throw line, while Eastern Illinois only made just 8-of-16.

Extra Points: Snyder and the Beltway radio wars

If contradiction was an Olympic sport, Chip Kelly would certainly be medal-worthy judging by his performance at the NFL's owners meeting but the Eagles coach might have to settle for silver because Daniel Snyder's critics will take the gold every time.

2015 PREVIEW NL EAST: It's the Nationals and everybody else

There isn't much after that. The Miami Marlins are loaded up for a playoff push -- likely through a wild card spot -- and the New York Mets are up-and- coming but still raw. The Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies, former powerhouses of the division, are going through rebuilds and won't contend anytime soon.
