Recap: Youngstown St vs. Wright State

Youngstown, OH (Sports Network) - Damian Eargle led four players in double figures with 18 points as the Youngstown State Penguins topped the Wright State Raiders, 68-61 in a Horizon League bout at the Beeghly Center.

Blake Allen added 17 points, Kendrick Perry had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Kamren Belin chipped in 10 points for Youngstown State (11-8, 3-3 Horizon) which has won consecutive contests.

Jerran Young came off the bench to score 18 points for Wright State (14-6, 5-2) which had no other players in double figures. The Raiders had won six of their previous seven games.

Youngstown State got out to a 28-25 lead at the break by shooting at a 44.4 percent clip while holding Wright State to 42.3 percent shooting.

In the second half the Penguins heated up to 57.1 percent shooting to close out the seven-point victory.

Led by Young the Wright State bench outscored its counterpart from Youngstown State, 33-4.
