Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Jordan Heath and Billy Baron led the way with 17 points apiece as the Canisius Golden Griffins topped the Rider Broncs, 67-50, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference showdown at Alumni Gym.

Heath also ripped down 13 rebounds, while Baron added nine boards and four assists for Canisius (13-7, 6-3 MAAC), which has won three straight. Isaac Sosa netted 12 points and Chris Manhertz chipped in 10 points and eight boards for the Griffs.

The loss snapped a season-long five-game winning streak for Rider (11-10, 6-3), which saw only Tommy Pereira score in double figures with 11 points.

Canisius shot just 37.9 percent from the field in the first half, but Rider was even worse at 32 percent, as the Griffs went into the break with a 27-24 advantage.

Canisius' field goal efficiency shot up to 61.5 percent after intermission, and it led by double-digits for nearly the entire second half.

The Griffs outrebounded the Broncs by a dominating 42-22 margin, which helped them overcome 20-14 disadvantage in the turnover battle.
