Recap: Harvard vs. Manhattan

Cambridge, MA (Sports Network) - Laurent Rivard scored 17 points to lead the Harvard Crimson to a 79-45 victory over the Manhattan Jaspers in a non- conference matchup at the Lavietes Pavilion.

For the Crimson (2-1), Siyani Chambers added 14 points and seven assists, while Christian Webster finished with 12 points and Wesley Saunders chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds.

Emmy Andujar led the Jaspers (0-2) with 12 points and RaShawn Stores scored 11 points.

Harvard shot 52.4 percent from the field in the first half, including 5-of-10 from three-point range. Manhattan managed just 26.3 percent field goal shooting in the frame, as the Crimson took a commanding 39-17 lead into halftime.

Harvard led by as many as 39 in the second half as it cruised to the easy victory.

The Crimson dominated inside, outscoring the Jaspers in the paint, 30-12. Harvard also converted 26 Manhattan turnovers into 36 points.
