Recap: Loyola-Maryland vs. Marist

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Dylon Cormier finished with 19 points as the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds took down the Marist Red Foxes, 72-58, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup at Reitz Arena.

For the Greyhounds (13-6, 5-2 MAAC), Erik Etherly added 14 points, Julius Brooks scored 12 and Anthony Winbush chipped in with 10 points.

Anell Alexis and Adam Kemp each finished with 14 points to lead the Red Foxes (4-14, 1-6), while Chavaughn Lewis added 12 points.

Loyola shot a red-hot 66.7 percent from the field in the first half, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, as it took a 43-31 advantage into the break. Marist made a respectable 48.1 percent from the field and drained both 3-point attempts in the half.

After intermission the Red Foxes made 44.4 percent of their field goal attempts but only one of seven from 3-point range. The Greyhounds continued to knock down shots, connecting on 52.4 percent from the field as they build a lead as high as 17 before cruising to the double-digit win.

The Greyhounds got great production out of their bench, outscoring the visiting reserves, 29-11.
