Recap: Marist vs. Loyola-Maryland

Poughkeepsie, NY (Sports Network) - Adam Kemp delivered a double-double consisting of 23 points and 13 rebounds as he helped guide the Marist Red Foxes to a 69-64 win over the Greyhounds of Loyola-Maryland in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at McCann Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Red Foxes (7-18, 4-10 MAAC) was Chavaughn Lewis who responded with 21 points in an effort to offset his seven turnovers in the team's second straight win following a four-game slide.

The Greyhounds (17-9, 9-5) were paced by Erik Etherly with his 22 points and seven rebounds, while Robert Olson tacked on 10 points as the team had a two- game win streak snapped.

Loyola led by as many as seven points in the first half, but the team made just 5-of-9 shots at the free-throw line in the period, allowing Marist to stay within a point at the break, 27-26.

In the second half the Red Foxes knocked down a mere 1-of-8 shots beyond the arc, but made up for it with 18-of-25 at the charity stripe as they grabbed the five-point home win.

Marist was guilty of 16 turnovers on the day, but at the same time outscored the visitors at the free-throw line by a 25-12 margin.
