Siena scored five consecutive points to close out the half and take a 36-35 lead into the break. Anosike scored nine of his points in the first half.

Marist climbed back on top and Kemp sank a pair of free throws to give it a 66-60 lead with just under five minutes to play, but the Saints responded with an 8-2 run to even the score less than two minutes later. The Red Foxes struck back took a 75-71 lead with under 10 seconds left in regulation. Poole hit a triple to make it a one-point affair with five seconds left. After Manny Thomas missed the back end of his ensuing trip to the free-throw line, Poole's desperation heave was off the mark.
