Recap: Rider vs. Saint Peters

Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Anthony Myles scored a game-high 17 points as the Rider Broncs posted a 72-57 win over the Saint Peter's Peacocks in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Alumni Gym.

Zedric Sadler added 16 points off the bench for the Broncs (14-13, 9-6 MAAC), shooting 4-of-5 behind the 3-point line, while Jonathon Thompson chipped in 14 points. Daniel Stewart responded with 14 rebounds, eight points and three blocked shots for Rider as the team won for the third time in four outings.

The Peacocks (8-17, 3-12) didn't have a single player score in double figures as the team bowed for the third time in four tries. Yvon Raymond accounted for nine points, while fellow starters Darius Conley, Desi Washington and Chris Burke all tallied eight points in the losing cause.

Saint Peter's led by as many as eight points in the first half, shooting 50.0 percent from the floor. However, at the same time the hosts connected on 66.7 percent from the field, including 6-of-10 beyond the arc, in order to knot the score at 31-31 at the break.

In the second half the Broncs continued to shoot the ball well at a 53.8 percent clip, in order to bring home the double-digit victory.

Rider turned the ball over 16 times on the night, but made up for those miscues with 10-of-21 shooting out on the perimeter.
