Recap: Wyoming vs. South Dakota

Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Leonard Washington finished with a double- double of 17 points and 11 rebounds to power the Wyoming Cowboys in a 71-51 win over the South Dakota Coyotes as part of the Global Sports Hoops Showcase at Arena-Auditorium.

Luke Martinez finished with 21 points to lead all scorers for Wyoming (3-0). Larry Nance Jr. added 12 points as well.

Casey Kasperbauer led South Dakota (0-2) with 12 points. Juevol Myles added 11 points and collected five steals while Tyler Flack chipped in 10 points.

Wyoming limited South Dakota to just 25.0 percent shooting in the first half to take a 35-20 lead into halftime.

The Cowboys continued to pull away in the second half by shooting 46.7 percent including an 8-of-16 effort from beyond the arc.

Wyoming outscored the Coyotes 36-15 from the 3-point range and had 18 assists to just seven from South Dakota.
