Recap: Central Mich vs. Miami-Ohio

Mount Pleasant, MI (Sports Network) - Allen Roberts scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Miami-Ohio RedHawks to a 70-61 victory over the Central Michigan Chippewas in a Mid-American Conference matchup at McQuirk Arena.

Will Felder chipped in 11 points for Miami (8-12, 3-5 MAC) while Will Sullivan notched 10 points.

Kyle Randall netted a game-high 20 points in the loss as Central Michigan (9-12, 2-6) lost its fourth consecutive contest. Blake Hibbitts made four triples for 12 points off the bench.

Miami starters managed just nine points in the first half on 3-of-16 from the floor. However, its bench stepped up and dropped 20 points to give the RedHawks a 29-24 halftime edge.

The RedHawks hit 52.2 percent of their shots in the second half to build their lead, however Randall scored four consecutive points late in the contest to bring the Chippewas to within two at 59-57. Miami responded with a Roberts' layup then took care of business at the free throw line.

Miami now leads the all-time series, 49-17.
