Recap: Central Mich vs. Ohio

Mount Pleasant, MI (Sports Network) - Walter Offutt scored 17 points and collected eight rebounds to lead the Ohio Bobcats over the Central Michigan Chippewas, 82-63, in Mid-American Conference action from McGuirk Arena.

Reggie Keely added 14 points and Ricardo Johnson finished with 11 for Ohio (18-6, 9-1 MAC) which has won 10 of its last 11 matchups.

Kyle Randall poured in a game-high 28 points, Chris Fowler chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds and John Simons brought in 11 rebounds for Central Michigan (9-15, 2-9) which has lost seven straight.

At the end of the first half Ohio led 35-31 after shooting 50 percent in the opening period. Central Michigan lagged behind by shooting 39.3 percent from the floor.

The Bobcats really heated up after the break, connecting on 53.6 percent of their shots, including 7-of-12 from 3-point range. Central Michigan had just a pair of 3-pointers and shot 40.7 percent in the second frame.

Ohio forced 19 turnovers and traded them in for 19 points.
