Recap: Toledo vs. Miami-Ohio

Toledo, OH (Sports Network) - Nathan Boothe scored 13 points including the game-winning 3-point basket as time expired to lift the Toledo Rockets to a 65-64 victory over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in a Mid-American Conference battle at Savage Arena.

Julius Brown paced Toledo (10-10, 6-3 MAC) with 18 points on 7-of-11 from the field while dishing eight assists. Rian Pearson chipped in 16 points.

Reggie Johnson netted 16 points and Allen Roberts had 15 points off the bench to lead Miami (8-13, 3-6), which has lost five of its last six contests. Geovonie McKnight and Will Felder added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Rockets led 35-32 at halftime after shooting 56 percent in the first half and 50 percent from 3-point range. Miami made all 10 of its foul shots in the opening period.

Trailing 62-61 late in the action, Brown converted one of two from the line to tie the score. After turnovers both ways, Miami took the clock down to under five seconds when Roberts lifted up for a jumper, which was off the mark. However, Johnson was in the right place at the right time and converted a put-back layup, giving the RedHawks a two-point edge with four seconds left. On the ensuing inbounds pass, Boothe freed himself up just enough to get off the last second shot, which found the bottom of the net.

Miami lost despite its bench outscoring the Rockets' reserves, 20-5.
