Recap: Eastern Ky vs. Austin Peay

Richmond, KY (Sports Network) - Glenn Cosey scored 17 points to lead the way as the Eastern Kentucky Colonels coasted to a 91-53 decision over the Austin Peay Governors in Ohio Valley Conference action at Alumni Coliseum.

Corey Walden added 15 points for EKU (22-6, 11-3 OVC), which also received 12 points from Tarius Johnson. Mike DiNunno stuffed the stat sheet with nine assists, seven rebounds and six steals as the Colonels notched their sixth consecutive victory.

Travis Betran paced APSU (7-20, 3-11) with 13 points as it had its two-game winning streak snapped.

The Colonels took a 47-28 lead into halftime after they hit on 57.1 percent of their field goal attempts including 9-of-16 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes. APSU shot 54.5 percent from the floor and went 3-of-10 from 3- point range in the first half.

EKU extended its lead after the intermission as it poured in 60 percent of its attempts from the field and sank 7-of-8 at the charity stripe.

The Governors were guilty of 21 turnovers which EKU converted into 37 points. The Colonels held a 46-26 edge in points in the paint.
