Recap: Belmont vs. Tenn-Martin

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Ian Clark scored a game-high 32 points as the Belmont Bruins easily defeated the Skyhawks of Tennessee-Martin, 90-53, in an Ohio Valley Conference battle at the Curb Events Center.

Clark finished the contest shooting 5-of-8 behind the 3-point line and 12- of-15 from the floor overall for the Bruins (13-4, 4-0 OVC) as they won for the sixth time in seven tries. Craig Bradshaw added 11 points off the bench as he converted all three of his attempts beyond the arc.

The Skyhawks (4-14, 1-5), losers of two in a row and nine of the last 10, were paced by Myles Taylor who responded with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Justin Childs tacked on 14 points as well.

UTM led by a basket early in the meeting, but the squad converted just 6-of-22 from the floor in the first half, compared to the Bruins who shot 56.7 percent, on their way to a 46-22 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Skyhawks connected on all 10 of their chances at the free-throw line, but the squad was again weak from the floor (.313) and only 1-of-7 beyond the arc, as Belmont cruised to the 37-point win.

The visitors turned the ball over a staggering 25 times, leading to 35 points for the Bruins.
