The Colonels (16-6, 6-3) were paced by Glenn Cosey who tallied 20 points on 6- of-14 shooting from 3-point range, followed by Mike DiNunno with 14 points and seven assists, although he converted just 3-of-13 from beyond the arc as the team lost a second straight. EKU ran out to a 7-0 start to begin the meeting, the team shooting 8-of-20 behind the 3-point line in the first half, but UT-Martin responded with a 13-3 scoring advantage at the free-throw line in the period to knot the score at 35-35 at the break.

In the second half the Skyhawks converted an even 50.0 percent from the field and again held the edge at the charity stripe (15-4), en route to the seven- point win at home.
