Martin, TN (Sports Network) - Myles Taylor recorded a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds as he helped guide the Skyhawks of Tennessee-Martin to a 72-65 win over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in Ohio Valley Conference action at the Elam Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Skyhawks (6-16, 3-7 OVC) were Mike Liabo and Jeremy Washington with 16 and 12 points, respectively, the latter clearing seven rebounds in 19 minutes of action as the team won for the second time in as many games.

The Colonels (16-6, 6-3) were paced by Glenn Cosey who tallied 20 points on 6- of-14 shooting from 3-point range, followed by Mike DiNunno with 14 points and seven assists, although he converted just 3-of-13 from beyond the arc as the team lost a second straight. Corey Walden chipped in 11 points and Tarius Johnson 10 and seven boards before fouling out.

EKU ran out to a 7-0 start to begin the meeting, the team shooting 8-of-20 behind the 3-point line in the first half, but UT-Martin responded with a 13-3 scoring advantage at the free-throw line in the period to knot the score at 35-35 at the break.

In the second half the Skyhawks converted an even 50.0 percent from the field and again held the edge at the charity stripe (15-4), en route to the seven- point win at home.

In a game that featured nine ties and 11 lead changes, the hosts easily won the rebounding battle by a 51-26 margin and that helped the squad to overcome 14 turnovers on the night.
