Recap: Morehead State vs. North Dakota St

Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - Taylor Braun led the way with 23 points as the North Dakota State Bison defeated the Morehead State Eagles, 69-57, at Ellis Johnson Arena.

Braun was the only Bison (7-2) in double figures and was just one rebound shy of a double-double. Mike Felt was 3-of-5 from behind the arc, adding nine points off the bench, while Marshall Bjorklund accounted for eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds before fouling out.

For the Eagles (4-5), Chad Posthumus was also one rebound shy of a double- double, scoring 13 points off the bench. Angelo Warner and Devon Atkinson contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively, in the setback.

The Bison trailed in the first 10 minutes of play, but a 12-0 run halfway through the frame gave them a 33-19 lead at the break. The hosts made just 8- of-30 (.267) from the floor and missed all nine attempts beyond the arc over the first 20 minutes of action.

NDSU opened the second half on another 12-0 run and held the lead for the remainder of the game, eventually claiming the 12-point victory thanks to 13-of-16 shooting at the free-throw line in the period.

The Bison made 42.3 percent of their shots from the floor and limited the Eagles to a mere 2-of-17 from three-point range.
