Recap: Morehead State vs. Tennessee St

Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - Angelo Warner scored 24 points for the Morehead State Eagles who took 78-69 Ohio Valley Conference victory over the Tennessee State Tigers at Ellis Johnson Arena.

Warner was 16-of-18 from the free-throw line with six rebounds for Morehead State (11-11, 5-3 OVC), which has won three of its last four games. Bakari Turner shot 6-of-9 from the field for 16 points while Drew Kelly added 10 points before fouling out with two minutes left in the game.

Patrick Miller scored 19 points while going 9-of-10 from the charity stripe for the Tigers (12-10, 6-3), who have lost three in a row after a seven-game win streak. Kellen Thornton added 18 points and five rebounds while Jordan Cyphers contributed 15 points.

The Tigers led 41-39 going into the break after shooting 63.6 percent from the floor in the first half.

In the second half the Eagles went 22-of-26 from the free-throw line as they outscored TSU 39-28.

Morehead State scored 21 points off 17 turnovers committed by the Tigers and also scored 20 second-chance points from 12 offensive rebounds.
