Recap: Chattanooga vs. SE Missouri St

Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Corey Wilford scored 21 points off the bench and led the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks to a 77-65 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs in subregional play of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at McKenzie Arena.

Wilford was 6-of-10 from the floor and knocked down three three-pointers for the Redhawks (3-1) in the win. Tyler Stone recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Marland Smith added 16 points and A.J. Jones contributed 10.

Both Drazen Zlovaric and Z. Mason scored 14 points while Gee McGhee added 10 in the loss for Chattanooga (1-2).

The Mocs were 0-of-5 from beyond the arc in the first half and trailed 29-23 at halftime. The hosts made a total of only eight field goals and converted 7- of-16 at the free-throw line in the period.

In the second half the Redhawks shot a sizzling 69.6 percent from the field and also knocked down 12-of-14 at the charity stripe in order to take the win.

The Mocs shot just 32.8 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from three- point range, while SEMO was 55.3 percent from the field and 40.0 percent on the perimeter.
