Recap: Tenn Tech vs. Tenn-Martin

Cookeville, TN (Sports Network) - Dennis Ogbe scored 23 points as the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles eased by the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, 83-68, in an Ohio Valley Conference contest at the Eblen Center.

Jud Dillard added 21 points, Jeremiah Samarrippas had 14 points and nine assists and Javon McKay registered 11 points for Tennessee Tech (10-16, 4-10 OVC) which had lost four of its previous five contests.

Myles Taylor dropped in 15 points, Bobby Jones and Mike Liabo each tallied 12 and Terence Smith contributed 10 for Tennessee-Martin (7-19, 4-10) which has lost three of its last four.

In the first half Tennessee Tech shot 44 percent from the field and nailed five shots from beyond the arc to earn a 34-24 lead at the break.

Ogbe scored 18 points in the final 20 minutes while the Golden Eagles shot 61.5 percent from the field to coast to the win.

The Skyhawks hit just 38.3 percent of their shots from the floor in the contest and were outscored 41-24 in the paint.
