Recap: St Marys-CA vs. Loyola Marymount

Moraga, CA (Sports Network) - Matthew Dellavedova scored 17 points and handed out eight assists to lead the Saint Mary's-CA Gaels to a 74-61 victory over the Loyola Marymount Lions in West Coast Conference play at McKeon Pavilion.

James Walker added 12 points and Beau Levesque had 11 for Saint Mary's (12-3, 1-0 WCC) which extended its win streak to four games.

Anthony Ireland led four players in double figures for Loyola Marymount (7-8, 0-1) with 16 points. Ashley Hamilton added 15 points and Alex Osborne and Ayodeji Egbeyemi each tacked on 10.

The Gaels had a 33-30 lead at the break after shooting 44.8 percent in the first half. The Lions were just behind as they shot 41.9 percent from the field.

In the second half the Gaels heated up to 56.5 percent shooting, including makes on 5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc, to pull away for the win. The Lions shot just 40.7 percent in the second half.

Saint Mary's had a 34-26 edge in rebounds and a 33-26 advantage on points in the paint.
