Recap: St Marys-CA vs. San Diego

Moraga, CA (Sports Network) - Beau Levesque scored 20 points in 21 minutes off the bench to pace the Saint Mary's Gaels as they completed an 81-48 rout of the San Diego Toreros in a West Coast Conference tilt at McKeon Pavilion.

Brad Waldow added 15 points for the Saint Mary's (16-4, 5-1 WCC) and Mitchell Young chipped in 10 points. Matthew Dellavedova had his streak of five consecutive double-digit scoring performances snapped, but he produced nine points and a season-high 11 assists as 11 of the 12 Gaels who saw action made a contribution in the scoring column.

Johnny Dee, Mike Davis, and Cameron Miles scored eight points apiece for San Diego (11-10, 4-2) in its second straight setback.

The Toreros came out of the gate cold and hit just 35 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half. SMU ran off to a 42-19 halftime lead by hitting 54.2 percent of its shots from the floor while adding 13 additional points at the charity stripe.

The Gaels went 16-of-29 from the field after the break to coast to the 33- point victory, which was their fourth in a row.

SMU held a 38-19 rebounding edge and outscored the visitors, 50-20, in the paint. The hosts never trailed in the contest as they maintained their lead from wire-to-wire.
