Recap: Ark-Little Rock vs. Troy

Little Rock, AK (Sports Network) - Will Neighbour scored 14 points including a key basket in the final minute to propel the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans to a 58-56 win over the Troy Trojans in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at the Jack Stephens Center.

Neighbour added 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season for UALR (5-3, 1-0 Sun Belt), which has now won four of its last five games. Leroy Isler narrowly missed a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Taggart Lockhart scored 11 points off the bench and James White netted 10.

Hunter Williams scored 11 points and dished out seven assists to lead Troy (4-4, 1-0). Emil Jones chipped in with 10 points. All 10 players who saw action for the Trojans scored at least two points.

Troy led 33-28 after the first half. The visitors came out hot, shooting 48.3 percent from the floor compared to just 27.3 percent for UALR.

UALR was able to win the second half by locking up defensively, holding Troy to 23 points. With UALR holding a two-point advantage late in the game, Deonata Jethroe had a chance to tie the score, but his jumper fell short and UALR was able to hold on.

Troy attempted just two free throws in the contest while UALR made 14-of-22 attempts from the charity stripe.
