Recap: North Texas vs. ULM

Denton, TX (Sports Network) - Jayon James went for 19 points and 10 rebounds as the ULM Warhawks defeated the North Texas Mean Green, 81-68, in a Sun Belt Conference bout at UNT Coliseum.

Amos Olatayo came off the bench and scored 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting for ULM (3-8, 2-3 Sun Belt). Marcelis Hansberry contributed 13 points and six boards, while R.J. McCray and Trent Mackey also reached double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Jordan Williams and Justin Patton each netted 16 points to pace North Texas (6-10, 1-4), which has lost four of five. Tony Mitchell chipped in 15 points for the hosts.

North Texas trailed by as many as nine points in the first half before battling back to tie the score, 30-30, heading into intermission.

ULM controlled the second half by shooting 68 percent from the floor, and it pulled away late with a 21-7 run to finish the game.

The Warhawks won the rebounding battle, 30-19, and they made eight 3-point field goals to the Mean Green's four.
