Recap: Western Ky vs. IUPUI

Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - Jamal Crook scored a game-high 25 points and handed out nine assists as the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers posted a 77-57 win over the Jaguars of IUPUI in non-conference action at E.A. Diddle Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Hilltoppers (8-2) was George Fant with 13 points as the team delivered a sixth straight victory.

The Jaguars (3-8) were paced by Ian Chiles and Jordan Shanklin who came off the bench to post 13 points apiece as the squad suffered a fourth consecutive setback.

Aside from shooting only 2-of-8 at the free-throw line in the first half, the Hilltoppers were tough to stop as they knocked down 58.3 percent from the floor en route to a 34-25 lead at the break.

In the second half WKU again had the hot hand with 53.6 percent accuracy from the field and this time the team connected on all nine chances at the charity stripe in order to cruise to the 20-point win.

IUPUI turned the ball over 14 times and lost the battle of the boards, 35-28.
