Recap: Ark-Little Rock vs. Western Ky

Little Rock, AR (Sports Network) - Leroy Isler scored 13 points to lead the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans to a 75-67 victory over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, in a Sun Belt Conference bout at Jack Stephens Center.

For the Trojans (9-7, 3-2 SBC), Michael Javes added 11 points and Ben Dillard finished with 10 points.

Brandon Harris posted a double-double with a game-high 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Hilltoppers (10-6, 4-1), while Kevin Kaspar scored 13 points and Teeng Akol chipped in 10 points.

WKU shot 48 percent from the field and connected on 6-of-15 from beyond the 3-point arc in the first half. UALR shot 44.4 percent, but outscored WKU 10-6 at the free-throw line, as the teams went into halftime knotted at 36-36.

In the second half, the Trojans got hot, connecting on 51.9 percent of their field goal attempts. The Hilltoppers struggled, shooting just 37.5 percent from the field after halftime, including 3-of-18 from 3-point range.

After trading leads early in the half, UALR used a 9-0 run midway through the half to turn a three-point deficit into a six-point advantage, at 51-45. While the Hilltoppers were able to stay within striking range for the rest of the half, the Trojans pulled away late to hang on for the victory.

The Trojans made the most of the Hilltoppers' mistakes, converting 22 turnovers into 27 points. WKU had the advantage on the boards, outrebounding UALR 42-30.
