Recap: Troy vs. Ark-Little Rock

Troy, AL (Sports Network) - Emil Jones scored 18 points off the bench as the Troy Trojans overcame a double-digit second half deficit to defeat the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans, 67-64, in a Sun Belt Conference showdown at Trojan Arena.

Ray Chambers chipped in 11 points for Troy (6-10, 1-4 Sun Belt), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Westley Hinton added 10 points and nine rebounds for the hosts.

Will Neighbour and Josh Hagins each netted 14 points for UALR (9-8, 3-3), while Leroy Isler chipped in 13 points.

After a tight first half, UALR took a slim 32-31 lead into intermission by shooting 50 percent from the field in the frame. Troy kept the game close by drilling 6-of-7 from the foul line, while UALR went without a made free throw.

UALR extended its lead to 10 with just under 13 minutes to play in the game, but Troy clawed its way back in it with a 15-2 run to take a three-point lead. A close battle down the stretch was put away in the final minute with a pair of free throws by R.J. Scott for Troy.

Troy shot 15-of-18 from the foul line, while UALR was only 6-of-14 from the stripe.
