Recap: Coll of Charleston vs. Wofford

Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Andrew Lawrence filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the College of Charleston Cougars to a 55-50 win over the Wofford Terriers in a Southern Conference matchup at TD Arena.

Willis Hall also scored 10 points for Charleston (21-9, 13-4 SoCon) which has won three of its last four contests.

Karl Cochran had 23 points to lead Wofford (12-18, 6-11), but no one else made more than three field goals in the contest for the visitors.

Charleston gave a dominant effort on the glass in the first half, outrebounding Wofford 23-12. However, the Cougars hit just 1-of-11 from 3- point range and led 24-22 at intermission.

The Cougars shot 57.9 percent from the floor and 4-of-8 from behind the arc in the second period as they held off a late Terriers rally to hold on for the victory.

Charleston's reserves outscored their counterparts, 29-5.
